On 16 and 17 February 2026, the final meeting of a project that began three years ago was held. The initiative involved companies, associations, universities and research centres from across Europe that came together for the ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ป๐ฒ.
On Monday 16 February, the Esapolis Museum in Padua hosted a meeting attended by national and regional authorities and the institutional partners involved. It was a key opportunity to discuss the results achieved and future prospects for promotion. The aim of the project is to safeguard the culture and tradition of silk production by promoting a certified process that wants to create a new ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ค๐๐.
During the day, ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฟ๐ผ ๐ญ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฎ commented on D'orica's key role in the rebirth of Italian silk and in rebuilding the link with the cultural heritage and landscape of the Veneto region. This is a concrete contribution that has been carried out over the years and further developed inside of the Aracne project. As part of the project, D'orica found in the ๐ฃ๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ข of the Venetian Villa ๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐, in Piazzola sul Brenta, the ideal place to present the Treesure jewellery in silk and gold, designed by Daniela Raccanello, and to house its silk reeling machine.
This journey demonstrates how historical, architectural and cultural heritage can become the driving force behind a new silk ecosystem, capable of generating value for the creative economy, craftsmanship and tourism.
